Although some provincial Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted at this time, it remains our priority to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all our participants and supporters. As such, we will be limited to a total entry of 110.
Tournament draw size and the total number of entries will be limited.
Chaopai Canada will be monitoring provincial Covid-19 at all time, therefore, tournament rules & regulations are subject to change.
Chaopai Master Challenge Tournament format
Both Round Robin and Elimination will be played depending on the entry numbers.
Rally points system to 21 (setpoints to 30), best of 3 games.
Players are guaranteed at least 3 matches per event. Walkovers count as a match.
The draw will be done by the tournament organization prior to the event date.
Shuttles will be provided by Chaopai Canada.
Substitutions/ Withdraw
The last day to make substitutions or withdraw is 5 days prior to the event date of play.
Tournament Rules
The minimum participating age is 35 years old by the event date.
Handicap points given to the elder team when
- (2 pts) given to the elder team when 2 teams’ age gap equals to 11 years or >11 and <20 years
- (4 pts) given to the elder team when 2 teams’ age gap equals to 21 years or >21 and <30 years
- (6 pts) given to the elder team when 2 teams’ age gap equals to 31 years or > 31 and <40 years
- (7 pts) given to the elder team when 2 teams’ age gap equals to 41 years and more
Player’s eligibilities
- Anyone who has never been a member of the badminton National Team of any country.
- Anyone who has not been a member of a Provincial Team, local or abroad in the past 15 years.
- Players must be 35 years of age at the time of the commencement of the competition.
- The organizer reserves the right to accept or refuse any person or persons’ entry and will have the final say on the decisions.
Prizes
Cash prize $7000 and up
Draw prizes $4000 and up
Entry Fee
- Early Bird: $40 per person per event OR $60 per person for 2 events.
- After Early Bird: $50 per person per event OR $70 per person for 2 events.
- 1 Chaopai badminton jersey for each entry.
- 1 tube of Chaopai shuttles for each team to be used for the competition up until the elimination round.
All entries are FINAL.
